Tropical Annual Free Floating Pond Plants

Water lettuce, water hyacinths and a few other tropical/annual floating plants. Excellent surface cover removing excess nitrates out of the water and starving out algae. Excellent protection for small fish and wildlife. The plants in this category are usually treated as annuals, but can be over wintered in a heated greenhouse. Suitable for ponds in full sun or partial shade.
