Lotus Plants for Sale

Lotus plants also known as the sacred lotus originate from the far east, the USA and parts of Canada, there are over 200 cultivars available in a rainbow of colors. NEW for 2013 we have extended our collection to 14 species and cultivars. Our Lotus plants will only be available in small quantities as they have been imported from the USA and will be sent out as bare rooted rhizomes during March and early April. Lotus are frost hardy but are only suitable to grow in a round patio containers in a heated greenhouse or a conservatory as they require as much direct sunlight and warmth as possible to develop fat rhizomes to get them through the winter, its not the cold of our winters but the length of them. They also need regular feeding of nutrients.
