Water mint. A british wild marginal plant with purple stems and aromatic dark green leaves. Clusters of lilac flowers in summer. Attractive to butterflies. Food plant of the water ermine moth. Suitable for ponds,streams and lakes in full sun and semi-shade. Height 30-40 cm. Flowering time June-August. Water depth 0-6 cm over the soil / crown.
