Oxygenating Plants essential for healthy ponds and providing a hideing place for all pond wildlife Print Page Print this page

All the plants in this category are oxygenating plants. All are fully submersible, but some are part terrestial (adapting to land and water) providing a safe exit onto land for baby frogs, toads and newts. Excellent for oxygenating and maintaining clean healthy water. Many varieties have floating leaves and provide valuable cover and protection for fish and wildlife.

Floating leaves cut down on sunlight and help prevent green water and blanket weed problems, and are also beneficial for removing excess nitrates and  play a key role in maintaing a healthy pond.

Sold in lead weighted bunches or bare-rooted, and in 1 litre, 9 cm and 7 cm solid black pots,

Please see our category listings in the left hand menu for aquatic planting accessories, aquatic soils and aquatic gravel.

Aquatic plants and Water Lilies are heavy feeders so don't forget to add plant food to your shopping basket.

Some of our oxygenating plants are available in large quantities at special discounted rates, please see our trade discounts category in the left hand menu.
